With a background in finance, commercial and industrial real estate was a natural fit for Mike Houlker and he has consistently been one of the country’s top performing agents since joining Bayleys 36 years ago.

Noticing the reservations that some smaller investors had about the significant outlay involved in direct property investment and having all their investment capital tied up in one property, Mike began investigating alternative property options for these types of investors. Working with leading property fund managers and syndicators, Mike has project managed the marketing and sell down of over 60 successful property funds and syndications over the last 20 years, raising over $1.2 billion of investors’ equity on property valued in excess of $2.5 billion.

During this time, he has developed an unrivalled knowledge of this sector of the market. Mike is Bayleys Head of Syndication and Investment Products and is also qualified as a Financial Adviser.

Samara is the Syndicated Investment Manager for the Bayleys Syndication & Investment Products Division and manages the process from marketing through to sales and investor relations. Samara has a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Management from the University of Otago and is also qualified as a Financial Adviser.

Joining Bayleys’ Auckland in 2010, she has been instrumental in raising over $1 billion dollars for New Zealand’s leading property fund managers - over $300 million in just the last two years. Her previous background involved key roles within a leading property fund management business.

After 16 years specialising in property funds and syndicated property, Samara has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of this sector of the market. She is passionate about ensuring investors receive the absolute best levels of service and would be happy to answer any questionss you may have.

Sarah is an integral part of Bayleys Syndication & Investment Products Division and has been since specialising in this area of property investment five years ago. Her background with Bayleys is extensive, having started in 2008 working part-time in the research team whilst completing a Bachelor of Property and Bachelor of Science from Auckland University. After graduating in 2009, Sarah joined the Auckland Central Commercial and Industrial team working successfully in administration, sales and leasing roles.

Sarah has a strong understanding of many aspects of syndicated property investment and in particular the importance of client communication and care. Her ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of people along with her remarkable work ethic ensures clients receive the highest level of service.

Joining Bayleys six years ago, Marcus has vast experience in the marketing department coordinating national advertising for offices throughout New Zealand. Joining the Syndication and Investment Products division in 2019, Marcus is excited to use his skills to assist with both print and digital campaigns and arrange the numerous presentations we hold around the country.

Having recently completed a Real Estate qualification to expand his property knowledge, Marcus is available to assist investors with the application process and ensure the right person is available to answer their questions.

Marcus is organised, friendly and approachable and is looking forward to meeting investors.

Madison joined the Bayleys Syndication & Investment Product Division in August 2021 to provide administration and marketing support functions, along with a core focus on investor relations.

Madison comes from an accounting background, and her analytical nature and attention to detail has made her an asset to the Syndication & Investment Product Division.

Madison is friendly, approachable and is eager to learn more about the industry. She is looking forward to helping investors in the future.
