Paihia

The coastal walkway between Waitangi bridge and Opua wharf, via the coast and boardwalks – an easy 8km walk with views of Veronica Channel.

Devonport

The Devonport Museum housed in part of an early Presbyterian Church building in Vauxhall Road. You can even search Devonport street directories going back to the late-1860s.

Mahia

The views from Mokotahi Hill at the south end of Mahia Beach. Take the walking track to the top and take in vistas of Mahia Beach settlement and the isthmus joining the Peninsula to the mainland.

Picton

Kaipupu Point Sounds Wildlife Sanctuary at the head of Picton Harbour separated from the mainland by a predator proof fence, with public access only via water taxi.
